TITANIUM Training Event: Darkweb and Cryptocurrencies - Illegal Use

The first TITANIUM training event for law enforcement took place on October 28-31, 2019 in Budapest. The event is hosted by CEPOL and was jointly organized by the TITANIUM and EMPACT projects.

The aims of the course were:

  • To increase skills on how to look for virtual currencies (VC) in criminal investigation and how to identify the existence of a VC wallet, notably in the framework of searches.
  • To build capacity to identify the use of virtual currencies in criminal cases, use available tools and techniques to extract intelligence from virtual currencies transactions and seize and confiscate virtual currencies.
